Honey is without a doubt one of the most widespread products and one of the most rooted in our region.
The Marche have always been a the forefront of “apicoltura” (bee-keeping), many publications on the matter were created in between 1800 and 1900 and, in 1903, the FAI (Italian Beekeeping Federation) was founded in the town of Osimo, in the province of Ancona.
 The most widespread honey is the millefiori type, which has a colour between extra white and light amber, but also of excellent quality are the unifloreali products such as acacia honey, chestnut honey, “melata”, lupine, and sunflower.
